{"id":133,"date":"2012-05-13T20:11:47","date_gmt":"2012-05-14T00:11:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.annawahrman.com\/wp\/?p=133"},"modified":"2012-05-13T20:11:47","modified_gmt":"2012-05-14T00:11:47","slug":"a-content-marketing-segway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/annawahrman.com\/index.php\/2012\/05\/a-content-marketing-segway\/","title":{"rendered":"A content marketing Segway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turns out, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett run a content-marketing firm called DumbDumb. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/05\/11\/business\/media\/dumbdumb-mixes-ads-and-comedy-shorts-for-tbs-online.html\" target=\"_blank\">Per the NYT<\/a>, they&#8217;ve just signed on to create branded content for TBS.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The videos will be in the vein of what is known as branded content or branded entertainment&#8230;Such sponsored stories are becoming increasingly popular as marketers wrestle with the growing ability of consumers to avoid ads.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Times interviews Laura Caraccioli-Davis, EVP at Electus:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;DumbDumb specializes in &#8216;content marketing&#8217;&#8230;part of the trend of &#8216;brand as publisher, brands trying to produce strong, relevant content&#8217; for consumers&#8230;&#8217;content that&#8217;s bespoke to a brand, and highly shareable.'&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Electus is a content-marketing agency itself&#8230;and DumbDumb is one of its partners.
